Facebook Dating Led Me to My Husband

Mind you, I hardly ever get out since I work a lot and when I'm not working, I like to work on hobbies like blogging or even diamond art or I'm busy taking care of the kids and things around the house. I figured to meet anyone I better join a dating site. I did try a few different ones. Plenty of Fish being one, but it seemed like everyone that is on that site is just after a booty call and I wasn't about that, I wanted to meet someone and form a connection. Being poor, I was trying to find free sites I could go on, which there are not many, I'm afraid. I figured why not try Facebook Dating since I'm on Facebook at least once a day looking at my memories.

I met a few people on Facebook Dating. The first one being my husband, Andrew. I was still with my ex-husband at the time, and he was had just left his wife. We were both coming out of relationships and let each other know right off that we weren't interested in a relationship. I finally left my ex-husband and got my own place and we started seeing each other. We saw each other for a few months before he ended up losing his place and had to go to the homeless shelter. He then tried to break up with me, even though I assured him there was nothing to break up since we were never in a relationship. We remained friends and every now and then throughout the years we'd check in on each other. I also took his cat, Talia, in when he went to the homeless shelter. I did meet a few other guys on there as well throughout the years but no one ever worthy of going on a second date or keeping in touch with. The last guy I met, I did really seem to hit it off with...until I found out he was married after a few months of seeing him. For some reason I decided it was time to reach out to Andrew and vent to him. He responded. We've been inseparable since.  We started talking in April 2020 and finally got into a real relationship in 2024. Ended up marrying my best friend in August 2024 and still going strong. We also just got custody of his two children in November of 2025, so I now have a second chance of being a mother. I saw a reel on Facebook about August 8, 2024, being the luckiest day of the year since it added up to 8,8,8 which is the sign for infinity or forever. I married my forever husband on that date. <3
